Christian Newswire/ -- The Awakening Conference starts Friday, Aug. 15th at 7 pm and runs through Sunday, Aug. 17th at 12 noon at Calvary Life Family Worship Center in Cheshire. Co-sponsors of the event are Kingdom Congressional International Alliance (KCIA), Gig Harbor, WA and Calvary Life. Saturday sessions begin at 9:00 am and end at 10:30 pm. Co-hosts of the event are Dr. John Muratori, senior pastor of Calvary Life, and Dr. Bruce Cook, CEO of KCIA.
According to Cook, "America and the nations are ripe and due for a Third Great Awakening. Leaders from the nations are intentionally and strategically gathering to cry out, pray for, decree and prophesy an Awakening in the United States and around the globe."
Historically, the First Great Awakening and the Second Great Awakening started in the Northeastern U.S. in previous centuries and were led by passionate revivalists, social reformers and fiery orators such as Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield, and Charles Finney. A Third Great Awakening for America and the nations has been predicted and/or called for by spiritual leaders, evangelists and revivalists such as Billy Graham, Harry Jackson Jr., Dutch Sheets, Bob Jones, Rick Joyner, James Goll, Bill Johnson, Mike Bickle, William Seymour, Maria Woodworth-Etter, and other historic and contemporary ministers of the gospel.
Dr. Che Ahn, senior pastor of Harvest Rock Church, senior leader of HIM Network, and Chancellor of Wagner Leadership Institute, Pasadena, CA will open the conference Friday night along with Dr. Muratori. HIM Network has more than 25,000 churches globally represented.
Dr. Cook and several other leaders who are members of KCIA will speak on Saturday, including Dr. Mark Kauffman, Dr. Gordon Bradshaw, Dr. A.L. Gill, Dr. Berin Gilfillan, Dr. Gayle Rogers, Dr. Sharon Billins, and Dr. Kluane Spake, and Muratori will close out the event Sunday.
The conference is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Seating will be available on a first come, first served basis. Free parking is also available.
