Christian Newswire/ -- Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Kristi Noem, candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in South Dakota's At-Large District.
"Where Stephanie Herseth has dropped the ball on pro-life feminist leadership, Kristi Noem has picked it up – ready to run with true advocacy for women and unborn children," stated SBA List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. "Her commitment to rescind taxpayer funding of abortion in health care and in all federal spending is urgently needed in the coming Congress."
As a businesswoman, rancher and mother of three, Noem ranks among the "authentic pro-life women leaders" Dannenfelser sees winning elections across the country. "A new women's movement which affirms its original pro-life roots is making its way to the House of Representatives, and Noem is one of its brightest new stars," Dannenfelser said.
Noem was elected to the South Dakota House of Representatives in 2006. She sponsored several pieces of pro-life legislation including HB 1293 which said that "all induced abortions… terminate the life of an entire, unique, living human being separate from his or her mother."

Noem will face Democrat incumbent and EMILY's List-endorsed candidate Herseth Sandlin in the November general election.
