Since the 2003 Olympic Acceptance of Transgenders, Steve McConkey has Fought the Wildfire

MADISON, Wis., May 13, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Obama administration has sent a letter to every public school district in the United States allowing transgenders to have access to bathrooms and locker rooms based on gender identity, not birth certificates.

In 2003, 4 Winds Christian Athletics president Steve McConkey fought the International Olympic Committee's decision to allow transgenders in the Olympics. He was the only person publicly doing this.

"This was the beginning of the transgender movement's wide acceptance," states McConkey. "From there it has spread like a wildfire in society. The movement eventually gained acceptance by state school sport leagues, then to Jenner, and now to every major professional sports league."

4 WINDS is a sports ministry that stands up for Christian athletes. Steve regularly appears on worldwide radio and is frequently quoted in articles throughout the world. He has a Master of Public Health from Western Kentucky University with honors and a BS-Public Health from Minnesota State University, Mankato with honors.

Steve and his wife started in world-class track and field ministries in 1981 and expanded to all sports in 2014. Steve was born in Des Moines, Iowa, but moved to NW Wisconsin after the sixth grade. He became a Christian after reading the Bible as an undergraduate.

McConkey has also fought every sports organization in their promotion of homosexuality, including opening the door to transgenders. He has taken on the NFL, NBA, MLB, and the NCAA. Also, he opposed Bruce Jenner because he knew Jenner would be used as a poster person for the transgender movement.

"Every day we have a new door open up for the transgender movement," states McConkey. "God's morals never change. However, the average person is bombarded with the federal government interfering with common decency. Instead of helping people with moral problems, the government is condoning sin."

4 WINDS works in many areas standing up for Christian athletes, not just taking on LGBT issues. They stand up publicly to the national Freedom From Religion atheist group located in Madison, Wisconsin. Also, Madison is the home of 4 WINDS.

Freedom From Religion periodically attacks university and high school teams because of Christian activity. They periodically sue city councils, cities, schools, and universities because they want to remove Christianity from the public square.
