GREEN BAY, Wisc., Feb. 10, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity feature Phoenix based Singer Songwriter Mary Castner's "Gonna Be Alright" from her debut album "By Faith," a free download through February at the Franciscanized World fscc-calledtobe.org

Called to be a contemporary Christian musician, Mary's Roman Catholic upbringing inspired a deep love for the Lord, as well as for Christian music. Her father, Fred Castner, a guitar luthier at C.F. Martin Guitar Company also encouraged her. Castner has repaired guitars for musicians such as Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, John Mayer, and Sting.

While attending Franciscan University of Steubenville, she was selected as the 2010-2011 head of Music Ministry and led one of the nation's largest music ministry programs. Since 2011 Mary has worked as the Director of Music and Youth Ministry at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mesa, Arizona.

Established in 1869, the Roman Catholic Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity serve in Catholic Health Care, Education and Parish-Community Service in the Midwest, Central and Southwest United States.
