JERUSALEM, Sept. 12, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- On December 23, 1976 Trinity Broadcasting Network made history as it hosted Christian television's first live satellite broadcast from Jerusalem. This week, as the network leads over 1,800 participants on one of the largest ever Holy Land tours, TBN's Matt and Laurie Crouch, along with Bible teacher and TBN ministry partner Joseph Prince, will host TBN's signature ministry program, Praise the Lord, from two historic sites in Israel.

"I'll never forget the excitement we all felt as TBN hosted the first live Christian satellite program from Jerusalem," recalled Matt Crouch, TBN's Vice President of Administration. "That same electricity is evident today as nearly 2,000 individuals from all over the world gather for these once-in-a-lifetime Praise programs, joining as one voice to worship the Lord and bless His people."

On Wednesday, September 12, Matt and Laurie Crouch will host a special Praise the Lord program from just outside Caesarea, the village where the apostle Peter led the household of the Roman centurion Cornelius to faith in Christ. On the following night, September 13, Matt and Laurie, along with Dr. Paul Crouch, will host Praise the Lord from the historic Southern Steps in Jerusalem, a site where, according to tradition, Jesus Christ taught the multitudes. Special guests for this program will include the Martins and Adam Ranney. Each Praise program will also feature special music from the worship team of Joseph Prince's New Creation Church, along with a life-changing message by Pastor Prince.

Since TBN's founding, its relationship with Israel has been built on the unceasing commitment founders Paul and Jan Crouch have had to pray for and bless the land and its people. In addition to the over 25 tours TBN has hosted to the Holy Land, the Crouches have met on numerous occasions with Israeli leaders, and most recently, with the partnership of its Russian affiliate, the network has launched TBN Shalom, an in-country network that broadcasts the gospel to the millions of Russian Jews who call Israel home.

"Jan and I have always considered it a distinct privilege to reach out in blessing to Israel," said Paul Crouch. "And until Jesus returns TBN will continue its undying commitment to join our hearts to God's in prayer for the peace of this most special place and people on earth."

TBN's special Praise the Lord programs from Israel will air September 12 and 13, from 7 to 9 p.m Pacific Time. Viewers can also watch archived Praise the Lord and many other TBN programs online at www.iTBN.org.
