Life Legal in Federal Court Today on Daleiden Case
Contact: Alexandra Snyder, Life Legal Defense Foundation, 202-717-7371

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Dec. 18, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Life Legal's lead attorney Katie Short is back in federal court today on behalf of David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress. The Center for Medical Progress released a series of videos earlier this year exposing the horrific truth about the abortion industry's trade in fetal tissue and organs and was subsequently sued by the National Abortion Federation.

The complaint argues that Daleiden and his investigators "engaged in a sophisticated scheme to infiltrate" its "top secret" meetings. What the National Abortion Federation failed to mention is that they invited Daleiden to participate in NAF's annual meeting, believing that Daleiden's test company, BioMax, would pay abortion providers for fetal specimens. NAF even provided Daleiden unsolicited information about the meeting's agenda and location.

The National Abortion Federation is seeking an injunction to sequester the Planned Parenthood videos and other related information and keep the American public in the dark about the nature of the abortion business.

"For decades, Planned Parenthood has tried to sanitize its role in the death and dismemberment of millions of babies," said Life Legal Executive Director Alexandra Snyder. "During much of that time, too many Americans bought the line that the organization is somehow beneficial, or at least necessary. But that is over. An organization that negotiates for the lives of human beings in terms of the value of their harvested parts is not good. Not for babies. And not for women."

David's videos and related information about the illicit practices of the nation's largest abortion provider serve an important public interest. Planned Parenthood operates nearly 700 clinics across the U.S. and almost half of its annual revenue comes from tax dollars. Americans have a right to know what kind of organization is spending their hard-earned money.
