Details:

In 1986, Randall Terry founded Operation Rescue.  On Thanksgiving weekend, 1987 -- exactly 20 years ago -- the first Operation Rescue event was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.

That event launched a series of demonstrations and protests across the country which resulted in the largest civil disobedience movement in American history.

On this Thanksgiving weekend -- 2007 -- Randall Terry and other pro-life leaders are launching a year-long series of events commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Operation Rescue with the following purposes:

1)      To host training seminars and conventions across the country to train the next generation of pro-life activists and leaders, focusing extensively on college students

2)      To hold major protests and demonstrations - including civil disobedience - in strategic cities, with the goal of focusing the political debate on child-killing

3)      To call upon Christian leaders to clearly tell their flocks: "No Christian may in good conscience vote for any candidate who supports the killing of innocent children by abortion."
