'End of the World' Myths Dupe Millions

Bestselling author, apocalyptic expert exposes false views of the Book of Revelation and "the end of days"

Contact: Steve Wohlberg, Author, End Time Delusions, Speaker/Director, White Horse Media, 559-977-9744

NEWPORT, Wash., Sept. 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- These are scary times. "Will the U.S. dollar collapse?" "Will there be a global economic meltdown?" "Will swine flu explode out of control?" "What about Iranian threats against Israel, terrorist nukes, and Al-Queda plots against the west?" These are only some of the questions causing inquiring minds to wonder whether this ancient Bible verse is now being fulfilled: "Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth" (Luke 21:26).

Capitalizing on intense public interest in Earth's "final days," the Mayan Calendar, and the possibility of an apocalyptic holocaust in 2012, The History Channel debuted on September 9, 2009, its first program in a 12-part series entitled, The Nostradamus Effect, about whether "The End is near," or whether it isn't.

"Doomsday Prophecies" "Unravel the Mysteries" "Unlock the Secrets," "Who is the Antichrist?" teases The History Channel's promotional video. Two of these History Channel programs, "7th Seal: Timeline for Destruction" (Program 8) and "The War Scroll" (Program 12) feature apocalyptic expert Steve Wohlberg.

Mr. Wohlberg knows the facts, and the fiction.

"Millions of Christians expect to vanish any day now in an event called the Rapture," reports Wohlberg. "They're mistaken." "Others predict the rise of a sinister, Mr. Evil, as the Antichrist foretold in Revelation. Wrong again." "Still others forecast global peace and a happy millennium, but that's not right either." "There are so many myths and delusions," Wohlberg contends, "that truth seems difficult to find. Yet it's plainly stated in the Bible, and we can know it."

Steve Wohlberg is the Speaker/Director of White Horse Media (Newport, WA). TV producer, radio host, and the author of 23 books, he has been a special guest on over 500 radio and TV shows, has spoken by special invitation inside the Pentagon and U.S. Senate, and is featured in two of The History Channel's apocalyptic 12-part saga, The Nostradamus Effect. His most controversial book, End Time Delusions: The Rapture, the Antichrist, Israel, and the End of the World (Destiny Image, 2004), has been newly released as a hardcover (Destiny Image, August 2009).
