WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 /Christian Newswire/ -- Centers for Decency named their Woman and Man of the Year and the winners are Dr. Janice Shaw Crouse, Director and Senior Fellow of Concerned Women for America's (CWA) Beverly LaHaye Institute, and Mr. Chuck Colson, the founder of Prison Fellowship Ministries.

The award recognizes Dr. Crouse's commitment to family values, which is seen in the articles she writes, the speeches she gives and the organizations she works with to promote these values.

Crouse's articles appear on Townhall, WorldNetDaily, UPI and Human Events.  In May 2007, she was a speaker at the World Congress of Families IV in Warsaw, Poland, and is on the planning committee for the World Congress of Families V.

Centers for Decency has a 13-year history of standing with families, communities, volunteers and members to bring family values into all areas of public policy.  They also have the only Morality and Decency Conference Speaker's bureau in the nation.

CWA Founder and Chairman Mrs. Beverly LaHaye said, "I am pleased that the Centers for Decency honored two of my dear friends -- Chuck Colson and Janice Crouse -- as their Man and Woman of the Year.  Both are deserving of this high honor.  Dr. Crouse has done an outstanding job of leading the Beverly LaHaye Institute, and she has provided leadership in numerous other conservative arenas as well.  Janice is unique in her ability to defend truth with a warm and generous spirit that embraces those who disagree with her, as well as those with whom she works, as an advocate for marriage and family issues."

Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America, said, "This is a wonderful honor that reflects the important work Dr. Janice Crouse does on behalf of families.  Her prolific writing and compelling speeches have touched hearts and changed minds, as has her work to mentor young ladies.  This award found a worthy recipient."

Concerned Women for America is the nation's largest public policy women's organization.
