SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., May 23, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA) today announced the launch of four June online learning modules in the fields of executive leadership, resource development, financial management and board governance. These interactive 10-week online modules are created by CLA and powered by Azusa Pacific Online University (APOU).

These CLA Online Learning Modules begin on June 18, 2012. The registration deadline is June 11, 2012. Learn more or register at www.ChristianLeadershipAlliance.org/Online.

The four June modules are:

  1. Executive Leadership: The Steward Leader (CLAL103) – Dr. Kent Wilson

This module is designed for those who want to go deeper in their understanding of best practices in Christian leadership, and what it means to be a biblical Steward Leader. What is unique about leading as a steward of those things entrusted to us by God? This 10-week module will deepen your ability to lead with excellence.

  2. Resource Development: Annual Funds (CLAR104) – John B. Savage

Annual Fund initiatives are a critical part of any ministry's resource development tool kit. This module will provide emerging development professionals with an understanding of the role of the Annual Fund in engaging and solidifying donor relationships. Learn to build a diverse development program, and take Annual Fund initiatives to the next level.

  3. Financial Management: Day-to-Day Financial Management (CLAF104) – Vonna Laue

This module will equip those in the accounting field with the keys to successful day-to-day financial management. We will explore the best policies and procedures, how to staff our accounting offices for success, how to equip our accounting teams, best practices in cash and debt management, ways to reduce expenses, and ministry investing.

  4. Board Governance: Biblical Foundations of Governance (CLAG102) – Dr. Randal Dick

What does it mean for a board to govern in a biblical way? In this module we will present ourselves to God with a question: "What does your inspired Word have to teach us about governance?" The answer is: amazing amounts of specific instruction and wisdom that is relevant and applicable in both the religious and secular governance context.

Each CLA online module is 10-weeks in duration, with approximately one hour of course time per week. The cost for a 10-week online module is $350 for CLA members and $450 for non-members. Completion of a module provides 20 points towards a CLA Credential in Christian Nonprofit Leadership (CCNL), for those registered in the CCNL program (www.ChristianLeadershipAlliance.org/CCNL). Completion of all five modules in a particular field of study provides a student with a certificate from CLA/APOU.
