Youth for Christ International Appoints Geordon Rendle New President

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 1, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- Youth for Christ International (YFCI), an interdenominational, Christian-based youth movement that operates in 140 countries worldwide, recently appointed Geordon Rendle president/CEO.

Mr. Rendle, who has spent almost two decades holding various Youth for Christ leadership positions in Canada and Latin America, most recently served as YFCI Americas Area Director, where he led a multi-national virtual team, who ministered to 32 countries with more than 15,000 staff and volunteers.

Mr. Rendle was raised by Canadian missionary parents working in prison rehabilitation programs in South America. The husband of Marilyn Rendle and father of four is an accomplished speaker, translator, triathlete, mountaineer and musician.

Mr. Rendle earned a bachelor's degree in criminology from Simon Fraser University and spent seven years working as an officer with the Saanich Police in British Columbia. He also holds a master's degree in leadership and training from Royal Roads University with an emphasis on governance of non-governmental organizations.
