SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 14 /Christian Newswire/ -- Campaign for Children and Families (CCF), a leading California-based pro-family organization, will hold a Thursday, May 15 news conference in Sacramento to respond to and take questions regarding the California Supreme Court's scheduled decision on the constitutionality of man-woman marriage.

The news conference will be Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 11:20 a.m. in Sacramento, on the 10th Street sidewalk on the west side of the State Capitol Building.

"God designed marriage for one man and one woman and made them a perfect fit," said CCF President Randy Thomasson, who sued San Francisco in 2004 and has continued as an official party in the consolidated marriage cases through today. "Marriage is a very special, very natural relationship between a husband and a wife, not between two so-called 'husbands' or two so-called 'wives.' There is no question that children do best when they're raised by a married father and mother living under the same roof. We’re hoping that the California Supreme Court ignores San Francisco’s ridiculous argument that man-woman marriage is somehow 'unconstitutional.' However, if the justices destroy marriage, the people of California will certainly overrule them at the ballot box."

CAMPAIGN FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES (CCF) is a leading nonprofit, nonpartisan organization representing children and families in California and America. CCF stands for marriage and family, parental rights, the sanctity of human life, religious freedom, financial freedom, and back-to-basics education.
