MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- World Congress of Families (WCF) Communications Director Don Feder and Dr. Janice Shaw Crouse, a member of the WCF Management Committee, will speak at REAL Women of Canada's 25th Anniversary Conference (WCF Regional Event), on September 20th at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel near the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa.

Feder will speak on Demographic Winter - the precipitous worldwide decline in birthrates and what it means for humanity's future.  Since 1979, the worldwide average birth rate has fallen by more than 50%.

Dr. Crouse, who's a senior fellow at the Beverly LaHaye Institute (the think tank of Concerned Women for America) will speak on "A Child's Best Hope for Life, Health, and Family" - which focuses on the centrality of faith, the necessity of marriage and the sanctity of life as essential to the well-being of children.

Other speakers at the REAL Women of Canada Conference, which is also a World Congress of Families Regional Event, include Barbara Kay, a popular columnist for the Canadian National Post, Dr. Colin Mangham (who has three decades of experience in substance-abuse prevention in Canada), Dr. Michael Wagner (author of "Standing on Guard for Thee," a sympathetic history of Canada's Christian conservative movement) and Gwen Landolt (REAL Women's National Vice Chairman and a World Congress of Families leader).

WCF Managing Director Larry Jacobs said: "We are delighted to participate in this historic event to celebrate 25 years of this great organization.  REAL Women of Canada is an important World Congress of Families Partner.  Gwen Landolt was also chairman of the recent Selection Committee Meeting which chose Amsterdam as the site for World Congress of Families V."

Jacobs added: "We share REAL Women's devotion to preserving and protecting the natural family as well as to advancing family-friendly and women-friendly policies.  These are topics important to women, not the failed dogma advocated by radical feminists."

The Real Women Conference is also timely because World Congress of Families V (Amsterdam, August 10-12, 2009) is less than a year away. We are inviting the participants at this WCF Regional Event to join us in Amsterdam next August.  Go to www.worldcongress.org for more information on World Congress of Families.
