WASHINGTON, May 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- Concerned Women for America (CWA) is thrilled to announce the selection of Gayle Davis as State Director for New Mexico.  Gayle brings with her a desire for citizens to be informed on issues that impact the family in significant ways.  As an educator with 25 years of experience in the public school and community college classroom, she believes the education and empowerment of ordinary citizens is vital to a free society.  She led the successful October 2007 White Ribbons Against Pornography (WRAP) campaign in San Juan County to inform citizens on the dangers of pornography.

Gayle became a CWA volunteer State Director because she believes in the Biblical values on which America was founded.  Some of her goals for her area include continuing to educate the public on the dangers of pornography, informing citizens on the importance of standing for and speaking out for religious liberties, supporting crisis pregnancy centers in their work with mothers and babies, and reporting on the success of abstinence programs in our public schools.

As New Mexico's new State Director, Gayle will work with the approximately 2,000 members in the state to build additional Prayer/Action Chapters and coordinate CWA's grassroots activities in legislation and media.  CWA's goals are to preserve the eternal values that support the Biblical design of the family, protect life at all stages, fight pornography and obscenity, tackle the declining quality of education, support the rights of individuals to pray and worship without persecution and increase understanding of the United Nations and its agenda.

"Gayle Davis' dedication to serving others demonstrates that she will provide trustworthy leadership as the state director of CWA of New Mexico. Her efforts will bring together women and men who desire to impact New Mexico with moral and compassionate policies," stated Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America.

Beverly LaHaye founded CWA in 1979.  Since that time, CWA has become the nation's largest public policy women's organization with more than 500,000 members.  Its mission is to protect and promote Biblical values among all citizens – first through prayer, then education, and finally by influencing our society – thereby reversing the decline in moral values in our nation.

Gayle can be contacted by phone at 505-330-4445, or email at gayle-nmdir@q.com.
