HIGHLAND, Mich., June 18, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- "The Virtuous Life: God's First and Great Commandment," a new book by Christian author, teacher and pastor Paul Rakowicz, is designed to help readers discover how to have a daily virtuous Christian walk, regardless of their denomination.

The book answers questions such as:

  • Why does one need to be living the virtuous life?

  • Why is this God's universal call in His first and great commandment?

  • Why is it the sole means to inherit eternal life?

The Virtuous Life is also a very practical book as it helps readers apply what they've learned through the course of their lives.

Rakowicz believes that the first and great commandment is a call to action. Doing the right things for the right reasons is itself a biblical definition of pure religion. However, doing the wrong things -- or nothing at all -- is to repeat the sin of King Saul (doing the wrong things) or the sin of which the Apostle James speaks (doing nothing at all).

"Faith without the right works is utterly false, and faith without any works is utterly meaningless, but the faith that results in right works and right thinking is the natural result of the virtuous life," he said.

Throughout the book's pages, readers will sense Rakowicz's awe of Christ's first and great commandment, and of His moral law that is the fulfillment of His sublime teaching. They will learn how Christ's teaching is capable of rooting out the vices that seek to wreak havoc in their lives, even at their very core.

They also will see God's natural law and its practical application through faith in Jesus Christ more clearly than ever before.

"Faith and works dwell together in perfect harmony through the virtuous life," he noted.

Rakowicz is available for interviews about "The Virtuous Life's" message of why living the virtuous life is the universal answer to God's great call for eternal life, and why living this life will also be of great practical benefit in this present world.
