NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 6, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- In a nationwide effort that has gone viral, Bishop E.W. Jackson, President of STAND (Staying True to America's National Destiny) has called for a mass Exodus of Christians and believing Jews from the Democrat Party - "EXODUS NOW!" His call was precipitated by Democrats adding "same-sex marriage" to their Party Platform, and given more momentum by the removal of "God" and the affirmation of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel.

Yesterday by a controversial and disputed voice vote, the Convention reinstated the word God and the recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel. However, Jackson is not impressed. He said in response, "The real Democrat Party was revealed when they took God and Jerusalem out of the Platform. They rescinded those changes only because of concern about the outcome of the election."

On September 10th at 1 PM at the National Press club, Jackson will bring together Ministers and Rabbis from across the country and defectors from the Democrat Party. They will attest to what the Bishop calls "a growing awareness" that the Democrat Party has declared war on Christians and Jews. Speakers will include LT. General William "Jerry" Boykin (Ret.), black activist Sonny Johnson, Hispanic Rabbi Carlos Parker, a host of pastors, ministers and others. They all agree with Bishop Jackson that the Democrat Party has taken on a "blatantly hostile anti-Christian, anti-Israel, anti-God, anti-Bible, anti-family, anti-life posture."

EXODUS NOW is particularly targeting black and Hispanic Christians. Jackson's message to them has been direct. "The Democrat Party has now declared that you must choose them over Jesus, over God, over your Bible and over your church. They're demanding that Christians and Jews bow to them instead of God, to their leaders instead of Jesus. The black Pastors who are urging their members to remain shackled to the Democrat Party are betraying the Master. They will answer to Him for it. Any Christian who has a Pastor wedded to a Party that supports same-sex marriage and abortion should leave that Party and find another church."
