ATLANTA, April 4, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Orange Conference, one of the most important family ministry team events happening today, will be held April 24-26, in Atlanta. Expected to sell out this year, it will draw together over 5,500 key influencers -- senior, student, children's and preschool leaders -- to discover new strategies for sharing God's truth with the next generation. Attendees will discover what it means to clarify the essentials and eliminate distractions with the theme of "Focus."

Smart leaders know one thing can influence the relevance of a message, the effectiveness of a team, the reach of a ministry, and the legacy of a life. It can be summarized in one word -- focus. OC13 attendees will be inspired from top-level speakers, who will share insight from past successes and failures. They will also be able to choose from over 100 specialized workshops in 21 customized tracks. Five Orange Interactives have been added this year for those who have never used Orange resources and curriculum before, or need a refresher course. Multiple networking events are also provided to chat with, and learn from, other church leaders, innovators and speakers.

One of the main attractions this year will be the Gallery. This interactive museum will be divided into three main areas -- preschool, children's and students -- and reflect the "Focus" theme. Each section will be completely unique in look and feel, but will use the common thread of wonder, discovery and passion, Orange's three key concepts and teaching tools.

Confirmed speakers include: Andy Stanley, Perry Noble, Charles Jenkins, Reggie Joiner, Bob Goff, Doug Fields, Jon Acuff, Sue Miller, Carey Nieuwhof, Kara Powell, and Sherry Surratt,. In total, over 80 distinguished speakers will present fresh ideas and innovative ministry concepts.

Drawing together speakers, authors, and church leaders from around the world, Orange sets out to rethink the way the traditional church model approaches family ministry. The event is structured around the Orange Strategy of partnering families with the church to have a greater impact on the faith of young people, who are leaving the church at an alarming rate. "Thinking Orange" blends two vital, yet often unconnected worlds to reshape the current ministry model.
