OVERLAND PARK, Kan., March 22, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- On Easter Sunday, March 27, Life.Church will open the doors of Life.Church Overland Park. Started two decades ago in two-car garage in Edmond, OK, Life.Church is building the same passion, energy, and heart for community within the newest location.
"I am beyond eager for Easter Sunday," Campus Pastor Danny Duran said. "We haven't even launched yet and we've seen an incredible outpouring of people who are excited for Life.Church Overland Park. Two months ago, we started with our small staff and now hundreds of people are interested in joining us on opening Sunday. In fact, more than 150 people are actively working behind the scenes to help launch this church by serving and inviting others to join us. We know God is working to change lives in our community and we're excited to set the stage for that to continue."
Life.Church's services begin with high-energy worship and focus on biblical teaching via video from Lead Pastor Craig Groeschel. Children (birth-6th grade) learn through age-appropriate curriculum created by Life.Church while adult volunteers lead discussions and care for each child. The atmosphere at Life.Church is casual and includes snacks, a friendly environment, and a lobby where people can get to know each other.
"This church is for everyone. It doesn't matter what you look like, who your friends are, if you've never been to a church, or you've been in church your whole life. The church will begin meeting at Lakewood Middle School on Easter Sunday, with services at 10:00 and 11:30am. A permanent location for the church is under construction near 135th St. and Switzer Rd. and is slated to open in late 2016.
