PORTLAND, Ore./ANAHEIM, Calif., March 14, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Starting March 22, 2012, OCP and their contemporary music division, spiritandsong.com will serve the nearly 40,000 Catholics attending Youth Day and Los Angeles Religious Education Congress (LA RECongress) with faith formation and prayerful guidance though workshops, events and music -- and they're inviting you along.

A long time supporter of RECongress, OCP will conduct English and Spanish language workshops covering: spirituality, youth ministry, music, personal development and more. In addition to workshops, OCP and spiritandsong.com presenters will provide leadership during prayer moments as well as entertainment including unveiling the commissioned RECongress theme song, "Voice Infusing Life/Voz Que Infunde Vida" composed by spiritandsong.com artist Santiago Fernández during the opening event, March 23, 2012.

In her message to participants in the RECongress program book, Director, Sister Edith Prendergast, RSC writes, "...'Voice Infusing Life' beckons us to attend to the voice of God which echoes though the ages...The well prepared liturgical celebrations and entertainment provided are sure to lift hearts and worship in a chorus of spirits."

OCP is proud to offer thirteen workshops by ground-breaking Catholic music ministers including: Steve Angrisano, Bob Fabing, SJ, Christopher Walker, Frank and ValLimar Jansen, Tom Kendzia and more. Six workshops -- from leading Hispanic artists like Santiago Fernández, Pedro Rubalcava and the beloved, Hermana Glenda will be presented in Spanish.

Taking the theme, "Voice Infusing Life" to heart, OCP invites writers, reporters and bloggers in the Los Angeles area to witness faith and formation in action during their "Night of Praise and Worship" at the Anaheim Marriot Hotel's Grand Ballroom on the evening of March 24. Catholic music powerhouses, Steve Angrisano, Josh Blakesley, Tom Booth and Cooper Ray will minister though the songs of OCP's contemporary music worship resource, Choose Christ -- and the first 500 attendees will receive a free copy.

Media seeking more information about the opportunity to go behind the scenes of Catholic faith formation, including a full list of OCP events, information on the "Night of Praise and Worship," or for interview and other requests, should contact Erin McClellan, at 503.460.5363 or erinm@ocp.org.
