INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., July 28, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Tyscot Films, a division of the legendary Tyscot Music & Entertainment, the oldest, black-owned and operated gospel recording company, will host a movie screening of the film "Switching Lanes" during the Hank Stewart 14th Annual White Linen Fundraising Affair weekend, July 31 – Aug. 1, 2015. The private screening of the new coming of age film will be held Aug.1 at 4 p.m. at the Atlanta Marriott Century Center Hotel and followed by a brief discussion and an awards ceremony.

"Switching Lanes," executive produced by Tyscot Films, in conjunction with Cali Girl Productions was directed by Tommy Ford (MARTIN, Fox New York Undercover, UPN The Parkers) and produced by Shannon Nash and Tommy Ford. (Written by) Raven Magwood & Susan Sojourna-Collier. The film features some of the brightest new talent, such as Shameik Moore of the movie DOPE, Jamila Thompson, and Victoria Staley along side some seasoned veterans, including: Kim Fields, Marla Maples, Terri J. Vaughn and Academy Award nominated actor Michael Lerner, with music power houses, Angie Stone, Fred Hammond, Wess Morgan, and Kenny Lattimore. The film is the coming of age story of two teen girls, who are aspiring tracks stars living "separate but equal," lives in the segregated town of Summerston. The two girls form a friendship, despite the racial segregation and discover that their unlikely friendship will not only change their lives, but also change their community.
