Pro-Life Coalition to Announce Major Demonstrations at the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver Next Summer

Denver News Conference: Tuesday, September, 18, 11:00 A.M.

DENVER, Sept. 17 /Christian Newswire/ -- Pro-life groups will be discussing their plans for prayer vigils, demonstrations, protests, concerts and rallies at a news conference on Tuesday, September, 18th, at 11:00 A.M.

The location of the news conference will be in front of the Pepsi Center on the corner of Speer Blvd. and Chopper Circle.

Pro-life activists will be coming from across America to expose the radical pro-abortion policies of the Democratic Party and to pray for and end to the war on America's women and children through abortion.

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, based in Washington, D.C. and one of the organizers of the event, says, "We are issuing a national call for the pro-life community, and all people of good will, to come to the Democratic National Convention in Denver next summer and stand against the horror of abortion.  We are especially challenging members of the emerging generation to be involved in this non-violent revolution of social justice and human rights.  We will be boldly and publicly calling for 30 years of violence to come to an end on the streets of Denver through peaceful demonstrations, prayer vigils, rallies, concerts and civil disobedience.

Sadly, the Democratic Party supports a radical pro-abortion position which has resulted in the violent deaths of 50,000,000 innocent children.  Senators Clinton, Obama and Edwards all support Partial-Birth abortion and resist any overturning of Roe v. Wade.  It is hypocritical for all of these candidates, and the Democratic Party, to call for an end to the war in Iraq while supporting and promoting a war on America's women and children through abortion."
