MEDIA ADVISORY, November 1 /Christian Newswire
/ -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded $57,840,781 for the Compassion Capital Fund in the last reward round. The consulting firm Faith-Based Solutions helped make the money accessible to many leaders of faith-based nonprofits and churches.
Want to be an award winner, too? One of the ways to do so is to attend one of the Free Compassion Capital Fund (CCF) Grant Writing Workshops in various locations around the country this winter. Normally $129, the Workshop is now free for the first 30 registrants. Attending the workshop will give you the tools to write a winning grant proposal for CCF plus overall knowledge of grant writing, an understanding of the ins and outs of federal grants, and fundraising knowledge.
Why a free workshop? After our thirty years combined experience with faith-based ministries, we've seen how easy it is for their resources to be depleted. Our training will equip members of Christian churches, parachurches and ministries with the tools and resources necessary to secure funding, specifically regarding the Compassion Capital Fund, which offers a one-time award of up to $50,000 to faith-based nonprofits.
Faith-Based Solutions is no stranger to CCF grant writing. In Oct. 2006, 82% of their clients were offered funds from the Targeted Capacity Building Program of the CCF. For 2007’s round of awards, Faith-Based Solutions clients won approximately 5% of award totals. Congratulations to all the winners.
"We were thrilled to be awarded the CCF grant this year," said Marcus Greene, Executive Director of Faith's Hope Foundation, "and we are grateful to FBS for their help in getting the grant. These funds will be a huge boost for our organization and will help us take this ministry to the next level, both internally and in service to our clients. The CCF grant is an amazing opportunity for any faith-based organization."
For registrants, the Workshop Notebook is recommended and can be purchased for $69. It contains winning proposal strategies, sample grant proposal and a resource CD. As a convenience for registrants, lunch can be purchased prior to the workshop for $15.
