OLD BRIDGE, N.J., April 14, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Ninety percent of homeless and runaway children come from fatherless homes. Today, 17.4 million children under the age of 18 are being raised without a father. These children are more likely to use drugs, commit crimes, and fail to achieve their potential. The facts are clear – men are critical to the well being of children, families, and the nation.

On Friday April 22nd and Saturday, April 23rd, Mike Devito of the Kansas City Chiefs and Pastor Ken Graves of Calvary Chapel Bangor, ME will speak at Man to Man, a conference exhorting men to lead at home, in their communities, and beyond. Together, Mike and Ken will engage men on aspects of how to be better husbands, fathers, singles, and above all, how to become real men.

"I grew up without a father," said Lloyd Pulley, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, "and I know firsthand the devastating impact. Now, as a father and a grandfather, by the grace of God, I want to be as influential as possible to call men to step up and be the man. That's why I am thrilled about this conference."

Mike Devito and Ken Graves will be joined by recording artist Joe Salant, whose spoken word and rap have reached audiences throughout the nation with a message of hope, faith, and challenge.

The Man to Man Conference begins Friday at 7:30p.m. and continues Saturday at 8:30a.m. Registration of $6 includes admission to both dates.

Ken Graves, who was instrumental in helping this area rebuild after Superstorm Sandy, with a group of lumberjacks from Maine. He shows manhood is very different than popular sitcom depictions of men as slow, foolish, and impulsive. NFL player Mike Devito will pass on his experience and challenge men to use their abilities in the service of others.
