Novel Approach to Reaching Scrapbookers with the Gospel

Contact: Robin Patterson, 615-251-2589

NASHVILLE, April 9 /Christian Newswire/ -- An avid scrapbooker (scrapper) as well as professional business woman, Rebeca Seitz, founder and president of Glass Road Public Relations, has applied her love of fiction and her passion for creating scrapping collections to a new faith themed series from Nashville-based B&H Publishing Group.

As a public relations professional working with other bestselling novelists, Seitz became an author in her own right in 2006, garnering praise from media and websites for her first novel "Prints Charming." Her new four book series "Sisters, Ink" is currently the only existing trade fiction series with scrapping as a central theme. Book one, "Sisters Ink," released in February 2008 and book two, "Coming Unglued," is set to release in July.

Why a fiction series about scrapbooking? A 2004 survey from Creating Keepsakes magazine reveals that one in four homes in America has a scrapper and that the industry is at an estimated $3.9 billion. Not surprisingly, most scrappers are females ages 30-50. Total estimated number of scrappers in America is 33 million.

Her own love of scrapping as well as her experiences in the power of the art to bring women together much like the sewing and knitting circles of days past was the impetus for Seitz's choice of topics for her novels. And like one of the main characters in her series, Seitz traded her big city life for that of a small town and began her own business venture -- founding a public relations firm devoted solely to fiction authors.

Seitz explains that after crafting a world where women come together to scrapbook, she recognized even more fully how important friends are to stability and growth. When she left a metropolitan area behind to move to the small town in Kentucky where her thriving business is based, she discovered just how hard it can be to connect in a new place.
