FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida, April 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale announces April 26, 2008 as Love Out Louder Day, a church-wide outreach day where over a thousand people, young and old, will be rolling up their sleeves and hitting the streets to love and serve its community. This is a great new chapter for the church, as one of the nation's largest mega churches is pulling all the stops to ensure that its entire congregation is inspired to participate in this incredible outreach. The excitement has been building in all four campuses--Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Plantation and even at Hollywood--its newest location.

The posters are up. People are talking about what they can do. Prayers are preparing the way. And Saturday, April 26, is being marked in red on calendars as a reminder of the kick-off date. The word across town is, "Don't just stand there, do something!"

Calvary Chapel has three primary themes in its outreach efforts--hunger, shelter and youth. But outreach, according to Pastor Chet Lowe, overseer of the Outreach Ministry, is not an event; it's a way of life. "If you're waiting to be called, consider this your call," he said. "Whether you are young or old, married or single, a seasoned saint or a brand-new believer, we need you." Pastor Chet encouraged the entire congregation, to sign up. For those people who normally work on Saturdays, he went as far as urging them to arrange for the day off, as this will be an opportunity for the body of Christ to turn out en masse to take a step toward making outreach a lifestyle.

Calvary Chapel will be serving its community in many areas: delivering food; washing cars; feeding the homeless; cleaning; painting and organizing at care facilities; visiting and caring for the elderly and disabled; ministering to incarcerated teens, women and men; playing sports with foster kids; doing yard work for single moms; and so much more!

A church that is nationally recognized for doing church well, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale has made it its business to accomplish those goals set by Jesus Christ, as He laid them out in Luke 4:18-19--freedom for prisoners, healing for the blind, and a release for the oppressed. "We expect that April 26 will just be the beginning of people recognizing that outreach is not something best left to the professionals but is something to which we are called as followers of Christ," concluded Pastor Chet.

How will this church outreach impact its community? And what will it take to convince Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale's entire congregation that God is speaking to them when He says, Go? (Matthew 28:19) This new chapter in the history of Calvary Chapel is to be seen, and to be written about.
