ATLANTA, June 17 /Christian Newswire/ -- Six hopefuls are one step away from potentially being crowned the winner of the popular American Idol®-like talent search television series Gospel Dream 2008 this Sunday night, June 22 at 9:00 p.m. (ET) on Gospel Music Channel television network.

 

Several thousand entrants became 16 contestants and now six remain: Anita Levels from Penn Hills, Pennsylvania; Bernard Williams of Jonesboro, Georgia; Monroe, North Carolina resident John McKoy; Kymm Lowery of Beach Park, Illinois; Melinda Watts from Fair Oaks, California and Sunshine Mathews from The Sunshine State, Florida. Three of the six semi-finalists will be sent home Sunday night and one will be crowned the winner of Gospel Dream 2008 in the series finale on Sunday, June 29.

 

The Gospel Dream 2008 winner receives a record & music video deal and a Royal Caribbean Cruise, among other prizes. The fate of the aspiring singers is in the hands of the Gospel/Christian music’s version of Paula, Randy & Simon: artists Martha Munizzi and J Moss and famed producer Big Jim Wright.
