IRVING, Jan. 16 /Christian Newswire/ -- Texans for Life (TLC), Concerned Women for America of Texas, the Catholic Pro-Life Committee of North Texas and Catholics Respect Life are pleased to announce the annual Rally & March for Life, this Saturday, January 19th, beginning at the Cathedral de Guadalupe at Ross & Pearl.

Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America will headline the event, with conservative talk show host, Penna Dexter, serving as our emcee.  CWA is the nation's largest women's public policy organization, and Wendy was voted among the 100 Most Powerful Women of Washington in 2006 by The Washingtonian.  For 15 years, Ms. Wright has been a tireless and powerful advocate for unborn babies and their moms.

Joining Wendy Wright will be pro-life heroes: State Rep. Will Hartnett, Bishop Kevin Farrell, Bishop Kevin Vann and Dr. Jack Hatcher, Vice President of Christ for the Nations.

Thousands of pro-life parents, grandparents, families and students will again gather in the Dallas, the birthplace of Roe v. Wade, to highlight our dream for an end to the killing.  Kyleen Wright [no relation to Wendy Wright], president of Texans for Life, noted that, "Tragically, the 48 million babies lost to abortion amounts to TWICE the population of the entire state of Texas.  Saturday, we renew our commitment to end the killing in Dallas:"

Rally begins at noon, after a half hour of praise & worship led by the Christ for the Nation singers.  Upon conclusion of the rally, pro-lifers will march to the Earl Cabell Federal Courthouse to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Roe with a brief wreath-laying ceremony.  Returning marchers will be treated to a reception at the church.
