ATLANTA, Aug. 28 /Christian Newswire/ -- While the Democrats and Republicans convene, an all-star line-up of Gospel/Christian music artists will be working for votes this Labor Day Weekend when Gospel Music Channel presents a Top Spins Labor Day Weekend Video Marathon.

GMC will showcase the 125 most popular videos of the year non-stop, beginning at 7 a.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 30 through 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Viewers can go online to www.gospelmusicchannel.com to vote for their favorite videos from the weekend. Those votes will determine the nominations in seven genre categories for this year's Gospel Music Channel Video Awards (GMCVAs) which will be presented in December.

GMC's Top Spins Labor Day Weekend Video Marathon will mirror the Gospel Music Channel Video Awards categories, featuring music videos from Rock, Pop, Country, Soul, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Latino music artists. Videos from top artists including Natalie Grant, Third Day, Tye Tribbett, Rascal Flatts, Flyleaf, Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman, Marvin Sapp, Family Force 5 and Trin-i-tee 5:7 will be among the music video rotations throughout the weekend. Joining them will be a new crop of artists whose videos are among the most played on GMC, including Michelle Bonilla, 21:03, Fee, Spensha Baker and Meredith Andrews.

After the marathon is over, GMC will tally the votes and compile the final nominations for the 2008 Gospel Music Channel Video Awards. The GMCVAs will honor the top videos in the seven genre categories, as well as the overall Top Video of the Year. GMCVA winners will be determined by viewers and fans through online voting after the nominations have been announced at www.gospelmusicchannel.com.

The current top ten music videos on GMC are:

1. "Your Show" by Michelle Bonilla
2. "You" by 21:03
