BRANSON, Mo., May 9, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Branson Cross will be an architectural wonderment and Kingdom Legacy Project of greater spiritual importance than the Statue of Liberty, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Archway to the West. The Branson Cross will showcase twin elevators that will take visitors to the 17th floor with venues telling the story of Christ's gospel of saving grace. Strategically placed high atop a mountain where US Highway 65 intersects with Highway 160, the cross will be built on a firm foundation in the Heartland of America. Eight million visitors travel this major artery into and out of Branson, Missouri every year.

Where there is unity among the brethren, God commands the blessing. Branson Cross is an interdenominational Kingdom Legacy Project to be built and maintained solely through the donations of grace filled, loving individuals and groups from across the country. The God given vision for this cross began years ago when the land was purchased by Dean Brown. Through persistence and patient endurance, Dean and his son Kerry petitioned Taney County and through God's favor the permits and zoning variances were approved to build Branson Cross.

Introduction of the project to the local community began shortly thereafter headed by Kerry with a goal of raising public awareness and building lasting relationships within the established leadership of the Branson community. In December 2011, Phase 2 of the project kicked off a fundraising campaign directed at reaching all levels of supporters with the goal of raising $5 million dollars for construction of the Cross.
