Freedom From Religion Attacks Innocent Athletes While Promoting the Killing of Babies
Contact: 4 Winds Christian Athletics, 608-469-7956

MADISON, Wis., Dec. 14, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Almost every day, a United States university or high school sports team, plus others, are attacked by the Freedom From Religion atheists from Madison, Wisconsin.

Also, FFR promotes the killing of babies through abortion. Last week, their new message board pointing to the Wisconsin Capitol said "We Support Planned Parenthood."

Last week, they attacked the Naperville Central High School football team in Illinois. As a result, the coach will not be able to pray with his players. The players will continue praying without the coach.

"We need to keep praying for the Christian athletes and coaches throughout the United States," says 4 Winds Christian Athletics President Steve McConkey. "Freedom From Religion is using sports to get their twisted message out. Athletes need to stand up and pray."

4 Winds Christian Athletics is a sports ministry located in Madison, Wisconsin that stands up worldwide for Christian athletes.

In the fall, FFR tried to stop Christian activity on major university football teams. They failed as Christian law groups provided the universities with information on how to deal with the threats.

FFR started after the founder Anne Nicol Gaylor observed Christians testifying against abortion at the Wisconsin Capitol in 1976.

FFR's sister organization, the Women's Medical Fund was founded around the same time. It has provided funding for over 20,000 abortions in Wisconsin. Anne Nicol Gaylor died this year and her daughter Annie Laurie Gaylor has co-directed FFR since 2005.

Gaylor authored a book titled Abortion Is A Blessing. In 2011, she received the Dr. George Tiller Memorial Award named after the abortionist "Tiller the Baby Killer."

4 WINDS STATS: 42 million abortion deaths worldwide - 9 million for starvation - 1.6 million for AIDS - 32,658 for terrorism - 0 for global warming.
