Christian Newswire/ -- The generations of the global Spirit Empowered Movement will converge in Tulsa, Oklahoma on the campus of Oral Roberts University April 8-10, 2010 for Empowered21: Global Congress on Holy Spirit Empowerment in the 21st Century. This will be an unprecedented gathering of scholars, leaders, and next-gen voices from all over the world meeting together for three days of radical intercession, academic insight, global networking, deep discussion, and the sacred impartation of the Holy Spirit.
The powerful general sessions will start off on Thursday night with the next-gen voices of Joyce Rodgers, Founder and CEO of Primary Purpose Ministry, Inc.; Joel Stockstill, Pastor of Bethany World Prayer Center (North Campus); and Timothy Ross, Young Adult Pastor of The Potter's House speaking on purity. There will also be a session on passion Friday night, moderated by Ron Luce, Founder and President of Teen Mania Ministries and enhanced by the ministry of Lou Engle, Co-founder of The Call and Founder of Justice House of Prayer, and Jentezen Franklin, Senior Pastor of Free Chapel.
There will be a session Friday morning honoring previous generations of the Spirit Empowered Movement, led by Mark Rutland, President of Oral Roberts University, and one Saturday morning on empowering future generations, led by Jack Hayford, Chancellor of The King's College and Seminary.
The Congress will close Saturday night with an International Impartation Service with leaders from all seven continents. They are: Tommy Barnett, Senior Pastor of Phoenix First Assembly of God and Founder of the L.A. Dream Center, representing North America; Claudio Freidzon, Founder of Iglesia Rey de Reyes, representing South America; E.A. Adeboye, General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, representing Africa; Ulf Ekman, Founder and Pastor of Word of Life Church and founder and president of Livets Ord University, representing Europe; Niko Njotorahardjo, Senior Pastor of Gereja Bethel Indonesia, representing Asia; tennis great Margaret Court, Founder and Senior pastor of Victory Life Centre, representing Australia; and Arthur Blessitt, who has carried a 12-foot cross through every nation and major island group in the world, including Antarctica.
Worship at Empowered21 will bring together anointed worship leaders in one unified worship team coordinated by Integrity Media. These include the Spirit-filled Hispanic ministries conference, a gathering discussing the ministry of the evangelist in the 21st century; a seminar on how to reach secular campuses for Christ; and a Catholic Charismatic ministries conference - a meeting with a special emphasis on the Catholic Charismatic community.
