Jesusland Sees Romney as a Rogue
Governor Romney fast and loose with the truth

MEDIA ADVISORY, Dec. 20 /Christian Newswire/ -- It seems as though Governor Mitt Romney is one who likes to distort the truth, be less than forthcoming, and all at the expense of Governor Mike Huckabee. It has been said that desperate times call for desperate measures, however, those in Jesusland will not be desperate enough to vote for Romney, according to David Jeffers, author of Understanding Evangelicals: A Guide to Jesusland. "The threat of Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama becoming president is not enough to make the majority of evangelicals to support a deceptive candidate," Jeffers said.

"Governor Romney is trying to deflect attention from his past by distorting Huckabee's" Jeffers says. Jeffers seriously doubts that Jesusland can get behind a candidate whose past record clearly shows a less than conservative side and one that is unpalatable to evangelicals. Jeffers questions: "How does an evangelical vote for a candidate who changes his beliefs when it is politically expedient?"

Jeffers outlines Romney's latest deception at his blog "Salt and Light" (http://davidjeffers.thevanguard.org).

Jeffers encourages those in Jesusland to contact the Romney campaign and to demand that Romney cease and desist his deceptive campaign ads. "Evangelicals need to hold all Republican candidates to a high moral standard; we want to hear how you will lead this country, not how much better you are than your opponent. Trust the voters to make the decision; we are tired of the mudslinging."
