NASHVILLE, Dec. 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- Instilling hope to the people of their homeland, Samoa, was the goal of the Katinas these past few weeks.

During a press conference held at the Gear Up Office at the American Samoa Community College campus, Evelyn Vaitautolu-Langford, Governor's Authorized Representative opened the press conference by welcoming the media, noting that the Katinas are here to aid in relief efforts.

The five brothers visited several high schools to deliver their message of H-O-P-E (Helping Other People Escape) by performing free concerts and hands on relief to the devastated areas. In a recent interview, James and Jesse Katina had this to say "The support has been amazing, we believe there is hope for Samoa. People tuned in from all over the world, even people who have never been to Samoa. There has been an outpouring of love and support. We are proud to be Samoan and here to deliver this message."

The Katinas wanting to express their gratitude to their ministry supporters all over the world filmed a video as a special thanks from them and the people of Samoa.

The Katinas consist of five brothers, James, Jesse, Joe, John, and Sam who are from the Samoan Islands and have been touring and recording for the past 20 years.
