NEW YORK, Nov. 9 /Christian Newswire/ -- Three new members have been elected to the Board of Trustees of the American Bible Society. Rev. A.R. Bernard, Jr., Dr. Steven Gary Wade Moore and Rev. Alberto R. Cutie were selected at the September Board meeting at the Bible Society headquarters in New York City.

Rev. Bernard is the founder and CEO of the Christian Cultural Center (CCC) in New York City. This faith-based organization has over 28,000 members. He also is the founder in 1993 of Brooklyn Preparatory School (BPS), a premiere early education institution dedicated to serving young children between the ages of 3-6. He has been recognized as one of the "Most Influential New Yorkers" by New York Magazine and his two weekly television programs on the TBN Network enable him to present his faith-filled view of life. Rev. Bernard earned a Masters Degree in Divinity from Alliance Seminary, Nyack College.

Dr. Steven Gary Wade Moore is the executive director of the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. He has a degree in history and political science from McMurry University, a Master of Divinity degree with honors from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Higher Education from the University of Michigan. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity by Asbury Theological Seminary and he is an alumnus of Harvard University's Institute for Educational Leadership. In addition, he was a Research Fellow at St. Andrew's University, Scotland and a visiting scholar at Oxford University in England. Dr. Moore has twice been recognized with one of the United Methodist Church's Francis Asbury Awards for Outstanding Service in Higher Education. Dr. Moore has served as senior vice president of Asbury Theological Seminary, president of The Asbury Foundation for Theological Education and vice-president for student life at Baylor University.

Rev. Alberto R. Cutié is the president and general manager of Pax Catholic Communications, Miami, FL, and a communications consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He also is the administrator of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Miami Beach, FL. Father Cutié received a Christopher Award for his Padre Alberto TV program on the Telemundo Network and the Hispanic Leadership Award for distinguished professional accomplishments. Each day he enters millions of homes through his television and radio talk shows, newspaper advice columns and his first book, a self-help book, Real Life, Real Love: Seven Paths to a Strong and Lasting Relationship. Father Cutié received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy degree from Saint John Vianney College Seminary, a Master of Art in Theology and a Master of Divinity degree from Saint Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary. He hosts a regular TV program on EWTN (the Catholic network founded by Mother Angelica). Father Cutié is in the process of establishing a charitable foundation dedicated to educational and hunger programs for children and youth throughout the continent.
