BENTONVILLE, Ark., May 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- Kenny Tomlin, Founder and CEO of Rockfish Interactive, today announced the launch of the newest version of Fourthbook.com, a web-based church management application.
Originally released in 2006 Fourthbook.com was created by Tomlin, who has a personal interest in the needs of pastors and particularly those who are planting new churches. He and his wife, Dana, founded The Portico church in Northwest Arkansas. At the time, he was unable to find appropriate software to fit his new church's needs, which led to the creation of Fourthbook.com. Since launching less than a year ago, more than 200 churches of all sizes have signed up to use Fourthbook.com. Encouraged by its rapid growth, Rockfish Interactive decided to significantly upgrade the existing functionality and add many new features.
Fourthbook.com is web-based software which:
Enables a church to organize and keep track of their growing congregation.
Keeps track of financial giving and records.
Delivers detailed reports and graphs of contacts and finances when needed.
Helps churches communicate with their congregations through forums, event calendars, and HTML emails.
Connects churches and pastors with one another through the ability to share resources, web links, and community forums.
Fourthbook.com meets the needs of blossoming congregations in the areas of contact database management, financial records and detailed report production -- all the things a growing church needs to be correctly organized in a fast and easy way. Pastor Jeff Allred of Journey Church said, "Fourthbook.com has allowed us to take church-wide care to a new level. Having all our data available online has really tightened up our volunteer base and empowered our team leaders. Fourthbook.com helps us keep our aggressively growing church connected. With over 1,400 contacts it's a lot to manage but Fourthbook.com has revolutionized the way we care for our people."
Fourthbook.com was named after the book of Numbers, which is the fourth book in the Bible. This book begins with a command to Moses from God to take a census of the people, or in modern-day terms, to get them organized for the purpose of ministry and mission. This resonates with the focus of Fourthbook.com which is to help new and growing churches get organized in an affordable and user-friendly way.
