Trinity Forum Hosts Event with Ross Douthat on 'Bad Religion: How We Became a Nation of Heretics'

WASHINGTON, April 13, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- The ­Trinity Forum will host an evening discussion with New York Times columnist Ross Douthat on his new book: "Bad Religion: How We Became a Nation of Heretics." In "Bad Religion," Douthat makes the provocative argument that there are spiritual roots to America's political and economic crises, and that the slow erosion of the institutions of orthodox Christianity has led to the rise of a variety of pseudo-Christianities that encourage our worst impulses. 

Douthat's remarks will be followed by responses from Washington Post columnist Michael Gerson and National Public Radio religion correspondent Barbara Bradley Hagerty.
