ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa, July 18, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- Alpha Omega Academy, an accredited online school for grades K-12, is excited to extend its dual credit program, which allows students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously, for the 2013-2014 school year.

Introduced in the spring of 2013, the program helps college-bound juniors and seniors develop communication and organizational skills that prepare them for success within the collegiate world. Students are expected to apply self-motivation to complete group work and meet course deadlines.

Several students took advantage of the program this past spring during its introductory semester at Alpha Omega Academy, enrolling in a total of 10 dual credit college courses. Five college courses are available through the college credit program this coming year. The fall semester offerings include College Writing and American National Government, followed by Introduction to Literature, U.S. History, and General Psychology in the spring.
