LONDON, June 2, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- The World Congress of Families is proud to join with Christian Concern to co-sponsor "The Future of The Family In Coalition Britain Conference" on June 29 (10am to 4:30pm) at the Law Society in London.

World Congress of Families Managing Director Larry Jacobs comments: "Christian Concern (formerly Christian Concern for Our Nation) seeks to introduce a Christian voice in law, media and government in the United Kingdom, as well as encouraging Christians to speak out on issues that affect their faith and freedom. As such, it's doing exceptional work in educating, mobilizing and activating Christians, including it's 'Not Ashamed Day,' a time for Christians to publicly profess their faith."

"The Future of The Family In Coalition Britain Conference" will be a continuation of that vital educational work.

Christian Concern notes: "Keynote speakers will bring their varied experience and expertise in economics, education policy, the media, the legal system and Parliament to bear on the question of how a compelling case can be made, in the current cultural context, for the value of the traditional family. They will seek to evaluate existing strategies, suggest possible new directions and attempt to develop an integrated approach to promoting the value of the family for society as a whole."

Speakers will include Rt. Rev. Dr. Michael Nazir-Ali (retired bishop of Rochester, Church of England, and former chairman of the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority's Ethics and Law Committee), Stewart Jackson, MP, Peter Hitchens (award-winning columnist and author of "The Rage Against God"), Graeme Leach (Chief Economist, the Institute of Directors, which provides support services to business leaders), Prof. Julian Rivers (professor of Jurisprudence, University of Bristol), Benjamin Bull, Esq. (chief counsel, Alliance Defense Fund) and Ignacio Arsuaga (president of the Spanish pro-family group HazteOir.org and organizer of World Congress of Families VI -- Madrid 2012).

Registration is £125 (which includes lunch), but discounts are available based on need. Owing to limited space, preference will be given to those with a recognized role in advocating for the traditional family in public life and discourse. To apply to attend the conference, click here.
