Discoveries made by NASA's Hubble and Spitzer Telescopes in 2004 appear to confirm the Genesis account of planet formation to be scientifically accurate.

ORLANDO, Sept. 27, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- According to NASA 2004 discoveries, planets like the Earth are formed in the exact same fashion as described in Genesis. According to NASA scientist, planets form around infant stars inside a proto-planetary disc of dust and debris, starting out in a formless and chaotic state in total darkness. Genesis 1:2, states, "Now the earth proved to be formless and waste, and there was darkness upon the surface of the watery deep."

NASA's scientists have discovered that as planets mature inside their dusty cocoon they suck up all the dust between them and the sun so that the planets slowly emerge from darkness into the light. Genesis 2:3. States, "Let there be light," and there was light.

After doing a two year study of the data put together by NASA scientist from these two telescopes, Hutchins, a 35 year student of the Bible says he was amazed to learn how accurately this scientific data lined up with the simple description of planet formation recorded in Genesis.

He says "when you read Genesis using the original Hebrew wording for 'day' it becomes evident that the 6 creative days are figurative and not literal 24 hour days. In the Hebrew language the word "day" ('yowm') can be used in a literal and in a figurative or even symbolic sense. In that context, what NASA discovered in 2004 lines up perfectly with Genesis 1: 2,3,16 description of planet formation."

According to NASA’s data, planets form around their star inside a cloud of dust that would prevent the already existing Sun, and Stars from being visible from Earth until sometime after the planet and moon had fully formed."This discovery appears to clear up a misconception that the Earth was created before the Sun, and Stars, and provides convincing scientific evidence that supports the Genesis account."
