ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 1, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Kingdom Racing, along with Schmidt Peterson Hamilton Motorsports, won fifth place in the VERIZON INDYCAR Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg with Simon Pagenaud behind the wheel of the No. 77 car. Most importantly, Kingdom Racing ministered and hosted three Miles of Smiles guests nominated by Calvary Chapel in St. Petersburg. The Miles of Smiles guests were three teenage boys that had gone through numerous hardships in their lives. The boys were treated to a VIP race experience, met with Kingdom Racing's drivers, watched the exciting race, and witnessed Christ's love as members of Kingdom Racing prayed and shared the Gospel with them. "Knowing the life struggles our guests have gone through, it is such a blessing to see how excited they got and how happy they were throughout the day. They paid very close attention during chapel and when they were challenged to live their life as young men of God. It will be exciting to see how God uses each one of them for His glory," said Tim Carrie, Director of Miles of Smiles.

This year will mark Kingdom Racing's third full season of INDYCAR competition partnering with Schmidt Peterson Hamilton Motorsports and seventh appearance at the Indianapolis 500. This season, Kingdom Racing plans to host multiple ministry events, festivals and appearances throughout the United States. Kingdom Racing will continue to reach thousands of people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Trackside Fan Festivals, Infield Ambassadors, Miles of Smiles ministries, and other events in partnership with churches and ministries. "Fantastic launch to a new season for Kingdom Racing both on and off the track at St. Pete. God goes before us and continues to make our paths straight. We are humbled to serve him." George Del Canto, Kingdom Racing's Founder and Co-owner.
