SYRACUSE, N.Y., Jan. 21, 2014 /Christian Newswire
/ -- The recently formed organization, Ten Good Men, seeks to launch a new groundswell movement of Christian activism and cultural engagement called "Operation Ground Zero" via two unique rallies in Washington, DC on January 22, 2014.
According to founder, David E. Long, "The purpose of the two rallies is to petition the God of Heaven for the forgiveness of our sins, the sins of our people, and the sins of our nation, and to set in motion a new and aggressive movement called Operation Ground Zero!"
Long stated, "Until the Church in America awakens to the fact that it is our complacency and apathy that has allowed child-killing by abortion to continue in this nation unabated for 41 years, there will be no change. And if there is no change, then God will progressively judge America for the shedding of innocent blood."
The group will hold two rallies in DC on January 22 to get across their point.
The first rally will be held in front of Planned Parenthood, 1108 16th St NW, Washington, DC at 9:30 AM and last about an hour. During this event, the members in attendance will be praying for the 300 major cities in America by name; thus the name "300 Men Stand." The group plans to offer prayers of repentance "in proxy" for the Christian Church in the 300 major cities in America. Ten Good Men founder, David Long stated, "Widespread child-killing in America by abortion epitomizes the apathy of the Christian Church. Statistically speaking, the Protestant Church has made peace with child-killing. In part, the ministry of Ten Good Men exists to challenge this profound indifference."
The second rally will be help at 2:30 PM on the US Capital lawn across from the Supreme Court. This rally is designed to coincide with the culmination of the massive March for Life , expected to draw hundreds of thousands, so as to potentially attract the attention of the participants from that march. Long stated, "The purpose of our final rally is to introduce the Operation Ground Zero initiative and to invite Christians from other cities who want to do more than just protest abortion to join our ranks."
Long further states, "The long range goal of the Operation Ground Zero initiative is to recruit more than one million Christian Men in America to take a visible and tangible stand on the abortion front and to commit to a lifestyle of seeking to impact the culture through Christian, servant-leadership."
The ministry of Ten Good Men is a repentance-based, strategic prayer and leadership training organization for Christians who desire to see America restored to a nation that honors God and upholds righteousness.
