UCMVA Announces New Addition to Staff

DONNELLSON, Iowa, Oct. 5 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Board of Directors of The United Catholic Music & Video Association (UCMVA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Alyson Bleistine to the position of "Marketing and Membership Manager" for the UCMVA.

Ms. Bleistine has over 25 years of experiences in the areas of Sales, Marketing and Management. Her professional experience includes opportunities with distribution, licensing, fundraising, radio promotion, internet marketing, A&R, creative design, and event planning. She is an active participant in a variety of Catholic/Christian organizations and networks promoting evangelization of the Gospel through music and media. Ms. Bleistine is a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church (Diocese of Nashville) based in Columbia, TN.

In this new position, Ms. Bleistine will assist in actively promoting the mission statement of the UCMVA, which includes the UNITY AWARDS (an annual event recognizing the outstanding efforts of Catholic artistry in music and video). She will also be assisting in building a larger organization membership to include all (global) Catholic artists in music and video, businesses and organizations working in areas related to Catholic music and media, and industry professionals working within these markets. In addition, Parish music liturgists, worship leaders, choir directors and even Catholic school music teachers will be encouraged to be part of this organization. Members of the UCMVA will have the opportunity to have their artistry/achievements promoted through the organization website, at various conferences and exhibits, and through other network partnerships.

The purpose of this association is to support, encourage and promote the development of all forms of Catholic oriented Christian music and video. This includes: Liturgical, Praise and Worship, Contemporary and Instrumental Compositions.
