Contact: Josh Conrad, Hillside Missions Organization, 860-550-3694

RICHMOND, Virginia, Aug. 6 /Christian Newswire/ -- The non-profit Hillside Missions Organization has chosen Richmond, VA for the location of its new headquarters as of June 2009. The move to Virginia is part of Hillside's transition to a nationally recognized ministry.

Kristopher Keating, Director of Hillside Missions: "Our mission is to provide access to the gospel for people groups that do not have access to Christian community. We also work to mobilize local churches to exciting international ministry. We want to be a resource for churches in Richmond."

On August 8th, the new office will be opened to local churches to introduce Hillside Missions to the community. "We're inviting the church community to come be a part of what we're doing here in Richmond," says Josh Conrad, Director of Church Relations. "Not only do we want churches to join us in our mission, but we want to contribute as much of our resources and abilities back to the community as possible."

Ministries include:

• Short-term Missions: Trips for 2010: China, India, Mexico, Africa, and Turkey. The trips are available to local church groups and members. Training for these trips will be offered by Hillside.

• Internship Program: Open to qualified individuals from the United States and Mexico, the internship is a nine-month program designed to prepare participants for cross-cultural outreach. Application available online at: www.reachthenations.org/internship.

• School of Missions Mobilization: Based in Matachi, Mexico, the SMM trains and equips Latin students as missionaries and missions leaders. The school trains teams that will reach groups of people who have not previously had access to Christian community.

Hillside Missions aims for churches to become engaged and excited in world missions. "When a congregation engages in world missions, the result is often a contagious passion that enriches all of the ministries of the church. Participation in community outreach activities, giving, Sunday school, home groups, and more, all benefit as the result of working to develop and satisfy an international compassion," says Keating.

Hillside enthusiastically awaits the opportunity to connect with fellow ministry leaders during the August 8th opening, and invites all those interested in partnering with Hillside to join them for the event. For those interested in learning more about Hillside, visit www.reachthenations.org.
