WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- Missy Smith, federal candidate, and opponent of Eleanor Holmes Norton, is running graphic ads in Washington DC, showing aborted babies, and healthy in-utero babies. The ads are having extensive impact, and generating heated debate.

Randall Terry, Founder of Operation Rescue, is Mrs. Smith's campaign manager.

Missy Smith is currently approaching all major pro-life leaders and groups, and asking them for three things: 1) A personal endorsement for her campaign; 2) A financial donation for the ads from the individual in charge of the organization; 3) That the person in charge invite people on their various email lists to view Missy's commercials at www.MissySmith2010.com.

In particular, Missy Smith has requested that the Susan B. Anthony List endorse her, and to give her financial support for her ads.

The Susan B. Anthony list has thus far failed to endorse or support Missy's campaign. The Susan B. Anthony list is raising millions of dollars, telling people they support pro-life candidates. This is partly true. But they also support "squishes" - i.e., candidates that are not 100% pro-life. Sadly, the Susan B. Anthony list praised the victory of Scott Brown in Massachusetts.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of the Susan B. Anthony list said Scott Brown's victory was "a win for the majority of American women who demand authentic representation that reflects commonsense pro-life views, like abortion funding restrictions and conscience protections."

What Mrs. Dannenfelser failed to say was that Scott Brown was a strong supporter of Roe vs Wade. As the days after Brown's election wore on, it became clear that the babies had an enemy -- not a friend -- in Scott Brown.

In less than 2 weeks, Missy Smith has raised over $30,000 to air her ads on TV in the DC market. Due to FCC and FEC law, broadcast stations are required to run the commercials.

Missy Smith states: "If the Susan B. Anthony list can praise the election of a pro-abortion Senator, the least they can do is support a federal candidate that is showing ads with the victims of abortion. We are hopeful they will declare their support soon.

"We are also please - and saddened - by those leaders in the pro-life movement who have supported me, or refused to help thus far. With friends like these, the babies have fewer friends than I thought."

(Susan B. Anthony was the most celebrated suffragette -- women's voting rights -- activist of her day.  She was a courageous and confrontational activist, who among other things was arrested and jailed for voting illegally. Hopefully, the ladies at the "Susan B. Anthony List" who have taken her name will imitate more of her tactics and aplomb.)

Below are the shows on which the Missy Smith's ads have already run, or are already paid for to run this weekend:
