RALEIGH, North Carolina, March 23 /Christian Newswire/ -- May people seek a closer relationship with God, but are unsure how to achieve that goal. ONE (published by iUniverse) by Jasper Watson, invites Christians and those seeking the Divine to discover oneness with God through exploring a deeper and more meaningful relationship.

Many people wear masks in an attempt to hide ourselves from God and one another. Watson states that people need to wrestle with their own identity in order to understand God's purpose and meaning for their lives. In a world that has become more complex, faith and Christian identity has been defused and diluted, according to Watson.

ONE seeks to distill modern life down to understanding and appreciating that all of humanity is God's creation and God wants us to be one. Regardless of our "roots," all people are to be grafted into the Body of Christ and find their purpose in life...being one with God and one another. To find our purpose and identity we must wrestle with God and ourselves. One asks the questions "Are you ready to wrestle with the issues and nuances of your identity that you have avoided and overlooked? Are you ready to wrestle?"

Among the myriad of aspects of the human condition that ONE addresses is the existence of God itself and how that quest for understanding can actually bring an individual closer to God. By embracing faith and relinquishing the illusion of control, Watson states that an individual will become closer to God, and by extension each other.
