FREDERICK, MD, Oct. 28 /Christian Newswire/ -- PublishAmerica is proud to present Wasted: 7 Days to a Lifetime Journey by S.R. McDaniel.

Wasted is the story of a young man's seven-day journey of homelessness, drugs, and faith. The effects of an ugly divorce, the destruction of the family unit, and the erosion of faith produce results that lead him to a world awash in drugs and alcohol.

It's set in the 1960s and '70s in southern California, 60 miles east of Los Angeles. This is a small city, in a big state, that possesses all of the social properties of pop culture gone mad. Seeking to find himself in the world, he finds his world coming to an end, and seeks ways to deaden the pain.

Alone, without a home, lost and scared, he finds refuge in one man, Ian, who shows him how to rebuild himself. And because of Ian's profound and literal relationship with God through Jesus, he amazingly restores his faith.

S.R. McDaniel is the author of two previous novels, The Parallel and Zero, along with many short stories published with The Denver Weekly News. He was raised and educated in southern California, and now lives in Flower Mound, Texas, with his wife Christa, and their two children, Spencer and Kelly.
