ENUMCLAW, Wash., May 19 /Christian Newswire/ -- Ordained Minister James R. Pennington tackles the subject of truth and Paul's letter to the Galatians in his new book "Who Has Bewitched You?" (WinePress, 2010).

Pennington's service to the community, the church and its congregants spans over fifty years and includes public speaking, pastoring, evangelizing, administering, and teaching.

A native of Texas, Pennington holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern Christian University, a Master of Theology (Summa Cum Laude) from Trinity Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Divinity (Honoris Causa) from the Southern California Theological Seminary.

"Who Has Bewitched You?" is a series of studies from the book of Galatians. Much like the Apostle Paul, Pennington writes to warn Christians about maintaining integrity in the midst of a relativistic culture.

"I became aware of a need in the church for Christians to live what the say they believe. The contemporary evangelical church is not lacking for moral and spiritual instruction. It is lacking in its ability to remain uncontaminated by the unchristian thinking and morality of contemporary culture."

Among other subjects, Pennington tackles:

• The sufficiency of Jesus' death for salvation

• Justification for the Christian by faith alone

• The Church's call to holiness

• The dangers of relativism and legalism

Currently retired, James and Theda, his wife of 54 years, live in New Jersey where they remain active in their community. They are the proud parents of four, grandparents of ten, and great-grandparents of four.
