Two National Rabbinic Groups Issue Religious Ban on Voting for Pro-Homosexual Agenda Politicians; Call on Pope and other Denominations to Follow Suit

Contact: Rabbi Yehuda Levin, Rabbinical Alliance of America, 718-469-6999

BROOKLYN, NY, May 27 /Christian Newswire/ -- In light of recent developments in the ongoing push to legislate a Federal Hate Crimes Bill in Congress and same gender marriage legislation in New York and other states, Rabbi Yehuda Levin, spokesman for the 65 year old Orthodox Jewish national Rabbinic organization Rabbinical Alliance of America, surrounded by Rabbis, issued a religious ban on voting for any politician or office holder who supports any aspect of the homosexual political agenda.

Rabbi Levin also called upon other Orthodox Jewish religious and civic organizations such as Agudath Israel of America, the OU, the Rabbinical Council of America, Chabad and the Chasidic groups to follow suit.

Furthermore, the Rabbis addressed Christian denominations including the Southern Baptist Convention, the Pentecostals, other Evangelical denominations and the National Conference of Catholic Bishops urging them to speedily employ similar bans.

"If the religious groups, consisting of tens of millions of the faithful, draw a line in the sand, even at this late stage of the devolving culture and its destruction of religious liberty, we can still save the day. But it's very late in the game." said Levin.

A strong emotional plea was made to Pope Benedict as the leader of the world's largest denomination to issue a voting ban with no loopholes. Similarly, Blacks and Latinos were urged to reject the comparison of the "gay" agenda and same gender marriage with the legitimate civil rights movement of the aforementioned minorities.

Rabbi Levin recently addressed a 20,000 strong Hispanic rally in New York City opposing same gender marriage.  Go to www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-mnf4Ti-Yk to see a video of the rally.

Finally, the Rabbis urged the religious grassroots to send this release and the accompanying video links to likeminded friends and neighbors to create a movement to effectuate this voting ban on a very broad basis.

They also urged religious and moral citizens to log into Godreignoverus.com, sign the voting ban petition and pass it on to as many friends as possible requesting that they do the same.

On Monday, May 25, 2009, the Central Rabbinical Congress of the US and Canada, headquartered in Brooklyn, NY, reissued their voting ban specifically in light of the push for same gender marriage.
