In early March, KCWC launched Phase One of this social networking campaign. Voters (largely bloggers, authors, and social networking contacts) viewed fifteen book trailer videos and selected their top picks. KCWC utilized Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to get the word out. They also sent e-blasts to their favorite bloggers and authors. Motivated by the prize offer of a Kindle and amazon.com gift card giveaway, word spread like wildfire. Phase One votes determined the top five book trailers.
During Phase Two, bloggers, social networking connections and authors viewed the top five book trailers and selected their top pick. Bloggers participated by posting the link to the TTTS site for voting, and social networking contacts retweeted the link to their circle of contacts--the whole "each one reach one" technique of grassroots promotion.
Social networking has spoken...and the award for top book trailer video from Trailer to the Stars goes to "The Sacred Cipher," by Terry Brennan. Viewers complimented TTTS for the intensity, suspense and overall excellence featured in this book trailer.
Other top five videos included in Phase Two: "Absence So Great" by Jane Kirkpatrick, "More than Conquerors" and "No Greater Love," by Kathi Macias, and "I Can Forgive If I Want To," by Kitty Chappell. You can view all top five videos at:
