FORT WASHINGTON, Md., June 19, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- A controversial video airing exclusively on DoersTV.com, is creating an outrage from many in the Buddhist community. The twenty-five minute video, called "Buddhism to Christianity", is available to the media for immediate review by clicking here.

The video is based on a testimony by Ruksha and Guneshi De Mel, mother and daughter, who were converted from Buddhism to Christianity. Ruksha, born into a traditional Buddhist family in Sri Lanka, was a devout Buddhist for much of her life. It's primarily her testimony of how she converted from Buddhism to Christianity that has many in the Buddhist community infuriated and fuming.

Below, are a few examples of the hateful and harsh comments DoersTV have been receiving from people in Buddhism, a religion and philosophy that promotes peaceful interactions with others, after watching this controversial video. (For privacy laws, the identity of those commenting is not revealed.)

"Most ignorant bit** I've ever seen...I couldn't watch whole movie but 10 minutes or less was almost enough to understand this bit** ignorance...She makes a very nice plot to her speech with fuc**** grammatical mistakes with her lil bit** daughter by side...who doesn't know anything about Buddhism at all...Please bit** plus we should be happy that a Moha (ignorant-one of three causes for Suffering) person just converted to a religion."

"She is lying bit** who don't know any thing about Buddhism...god fu** her and make babes and cure from kind of brain illness...she also insult to our mother land why that bit** born there why still live in my land. Please bit** you can fu** to your god and don't insult our country and Buddhism."

"For goodness sake? Are all Christians not arrogant? Are they never violent? Very biased video against Buddhists. Either she tells what she was advised to, or she hasn't been around Christians long enough. Good luck staying in this Christian euphoria..."

Wikipedia states "While Buddhism remains most popular within Asia, both branches are now found throughout the world. Estimates of Buddhists worldwide vary significantly depending on the way Buddhist adherence is defined. Lower estimates are between 350–500 million. Buddhism is a religion and philosophy indigenous to the Indian subcontinent and encompasses a variety of traditions, beliefs, and practices largely based on teachings attributed to Siddhartha Gautama, who is commonly known as the Buddha."
